Who should consider Hetzner Cloud?
Shortlist Hetzner when its available region, resource class and complete bill fit your application. Its European entry plan can be attractive for an operator with a European workload. US buyers should compare the US quote separately rather than expecting the European starting price.

Current pricing: regional differences matter
Hetzner’s June 15, 2026 adjustment applies to new orders and cloud rescales. The following monthly caps exclude VAT and primary IPv4. Currency is an account choice, not a currency conversion we performed.

The CX23 specification comes from the official plan announcement; its older announcement price is superseded by the adjustment table. Do not treat CX23 and CPX11 as equivalent benchmarks. Stock and exact configurations need confirmation at ordering.
Plans and features
Cost-Optimized and Regular Performance cloud servers share CPU resources. General Purpose servers provide dedicated CPU resources. Choose based on sustained load, architecture compatibility and what you can administer. Advertised resources describe the plan; they do not establish application throughput.
The platform offers a console, API and infrastructure features including firewalls, private networks, volumes, snapshots and load balancers. Check each feature’s price and regional constraints before treating it as part of a bundle.
Locations
The cloud location list includes Falkenstein, Nuremberg, Helsinki, Ashburn, Hillsboro and Singapore. The published list has no London, Toronto or Sydney location. If local UK, Canadian or Australian hosting is a requirement, compare DigitalOcean and confirm its exact plan availability.
Backups, IP addresses and billing
Backups add 20% of server cost and provide seven slots. Primary IPv4 is a separate resource; the server overview lists €0.50 per month excluding VAT. Primary IPv6 has no charge. Confirm the USD IPv4 quote if using a USD account.
Servers are billed hourly up to a monthly cap and remain billable when powered off. Unassigned paid IP resources can also continue billing. Include those resources, storage, overages and operator time in your monthly budget.
Write a restore plan for your database and files, not only a server image. Separate backup copies from the production account where appropriate, and verify recovery after major deployment changes. We have not tested Hetzner’s restore process.
Security and support
Your operating system, application, access controls and secrets still need an owner. Review the provider’s service terms and support scope for the exact product. Do not buy an infrastructure plan expecting outsourced maintenance or an unverified response-time promise.
