Plan a registrar transfer separately from a website move
The ICANN Transfer Policy describes transfers between accredited registrars for covered domains. Your domain’s registry rules and current registrar procedure also matter. Verify authorization, lock status and eligibility before starting; do not assume every extension follows the same procedure.
Record the nameservers and DNS records used by the website and email. Ask whether the existing DNS service continues after transfer. Avoid combining an untested DNS change, hosting migration and registrar transfer in one step.
